100 Miles an Hour (Single)

Everyone I see runs 100 miles an hour Living like there's no tomorrow But me I still have time to borrow I often think too much what happened yesterday? And how we used to run and play Now I don't see anything I wish we could go back to the starting line Could we turn back time? And if we could I'd see more sights Try to live a little Maybe pick some fights And maybe I could learn to be not so shy would you agree? And maybe then I'd come to know a life more dangerous and not so slow Everyone it seems runs 100 miles an hour Living like their heads on fire You'd think their life's about to expire But I prefer life in the slower driving lane I'm not in any rush to pain There's no desire to go insane I wish we could go back to the starting line Could we turn back time? And if we could I'd see more sights Try to live a little Maybe pick some fights And maybe I could learn to be not so shy would you agree? And maybe then I'd come to know a life more dangerous and not so slow

Take the last train out of here into the night, away from fear, before it's gone We're going to break the locks on all the stocks and set them loose, the madmen we've locked up People come and people go, they can terrorize and often show us something new about ourselves They feed the monsters in our brains until we lock them up again, labeled never to be seen So break them down, the barriers, the constrictors, the people that tether us to the ground And with this sound we can see… If you were talking to me, would everybody be free? If I were talking to you, what would you choose to do with me…? There will come a time when everything you felt inside is suddenly different and these things you cannot hide Everything is different now, there's almost no rhyme or reason how these changes can all come about Well the thing to remember then is not to worry too much my friend because it will all subside And suddenly it's the reality you choose to live by No more hiding from yourself you see, it's just a part of life for you and me So wave goodbye to everyone and everything you thought you knew because now you're someone new And if you were talking to me, who would you choose to be? And if I were talking to you, what would I choose to do and be? Something different completely? I don't know

Come now don't you cry Don't you wet those eyes You've got all the time in the world Please don't you grow up to be anything like me I, I don't have it all figured out Baby girl, I am always here for you I'll never leave you all alone Don't you be afraid to run into the fray Don't you give up on your dreams Cos darling you can be, anything you want to be It just takes a little pain Don't you make a sound Put your worries down Think of me, and this song Think of good times gone
